We believe finding the right therapist for you is essential to your growth. We encourage people to interview a few potential therapists before moving forward with an intake appointment to initiate services. Therapists should be in the hot seat during a consultation - after all, this is your care and you deserve to find a therapist that fits you!

Name you go by (the one we will always use for you)
A working email address
General days and times you can meet for a video call
What do I need to do before the consultation?
Receive an email or two with important links.
Download the Simple Practice app or become familiar with the website by clicking on the appointment link ahead of time, which can be found in an email from us.
Review the practices, policies, and consent documents in your patient portal so that you can ask questions about them, if you have any. You don’t need to sign anything until after the consultation, if you choose to work with us. You can find the link to the patient portal in an email from us.
What happens during the consultation?
You get to interview us! We will be able to tell you about the way we do therapy, such as the treatment modalities we use and our approach to the process. We can explain to you what a typical session with us would look like, too. We will also briefly discuss what you’re needing help with, what goals you have for therapy, and any other questions you might have. Be sure to ask questions about our practices, policies, and consents, too.
At the end of the video call, we will decide what the next step will be. Common options include giving you referrals to other therapists to interview with, checking in about a week later to see if you have decided on which therapist you want to work with, or scheduling an intake session right away.
