1. The Pride Center of New Jersey, Inc.

An all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of all individuals in the LGBTQ community. The Center is a safe space to gather together, and so much more. Here, we celebrate who we are as individuals and as a community. Here we find comfort in unity. In this place, we accept who we are and how far we have come in the fight for equal rights. Here we continue to fight for equality. Everyone in the LGBTQ community and their allies are welcome at The Center. We have a wide range of programming to meet the needs of those who seek us out. We encourage anyone interested in learning about The Center to check out our calendar and stop by and attend a group or meeting. - Robust programming is the heart and soul of The Pride Center. In addition to health education programming, we offer a variety of activities and groups for support and social opportunities for everyone in the

LGBTQ community. There are informal topic-oriented discussion groups, social groups, and fun events and activities. Groups are generally open to adults 18 and over, except for Youth Groups or as otherwise noted.

2. NJ Resources for the LGBTQ Community and Allies

Libraries are for everyone! Cherry Hill Public Library is committed to ensuring that our library is a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQ community, their families, and allies. We also strive to have a broad range of programs and materials that meet the informational needs of LGBTQ patrons, as well as educate our entire community.

3. RWJBarnabas Health: Medical Care for the New Jersey LGBTQIA Community

At our facilities, we strive to meet the diverse healthcare needs of our community. The LGBTQIA program is part of our initiative to provide quality healthcare to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA) community. Our hospitals and medical centers are welcoming, inclusive environments where people from all walks of life can seek the medical care they need.

4. PROUD Family Health (Somerset County)

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset is the first hospital in New Jersey to offer specialized primary care services for the LGBTQIA community at PROUD Family Health. Committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where you can get the medical care you need at all stages of your life.

5. HiTOPS

Health services and group support resources for people ages 13 to 26. They developed two support groups called “First & Third” and “PFLAG” for LGBTQ youth and their loved ones.

6. Garden State Equality

Dedicated to bringing same-sex marriage equality to New Jersey. It is the organizer of campaigns, primarily to get the legislature to pass a marriage equality bill and to accumulate enough votes in the legislature to override a gubernatorial veto.

7. Gay Activist Alliance in Morris County (GAAMC)

The GAAMC is a volunteer-run organization that provides social, educational, and outreach programs to Morris County. They publish a “Pride Guide” serving as a guide to resources for the New Jersey LGBTQ community.

8. QSpot

QSpot fosters the health, well-being and pride of NJ’s LGBTQ community by providing resources, referrals, education, and outreach to the cities of Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, Red Bank, Long Branch, Toms River, Princeton, Trenton and others. They host an LGBTQ film and digital media festival in addition to offering various programming and groups.

9. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG)

National non-profit organization located in Washington, DC. The non-profit group provides support for health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends. Online information, events, programs, scholarships, and advocacy opportunities.

10. The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN)

Ensures school students are treated with respect without regard to sexual orientation or gender identity and/or expression. Strives to create school settings that value differences for a powerful and diverse community.

11. Equality Federation
National alliance of state-based lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender advocacy organizations.

12. Human Rights Campaign

Advocates for LGBT Americans, mobilizes grassroots action, and educates the public about LGBT issues.

13. NALGAP: The Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies

Membership organization dedicated to prevention and treatment of alcoholism, substance abuse, and other addictions in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer communities.
